Katrina Aftermath

This is a "feel good" story, if that is possible in this horrible situation. Contrary to all of the news footage you see of the shootings and violence, there are good things happening. My son works for Detroit Edison in Michigan. He and several of his crews were sent to Mississippi to help in the clean up and the restoring of the electrical power. My son calls me quite often to assure me that he is OK and to tell me what is going on there. He said that he and his crews go into the neighborhoods and the people applaud them and thank them for coming. Most of these peoples homes are destroyed, yet they offer the crews bottled water and soda. He said they are extremely friendly and very greatful. My son said it makes him feel very good that he has this opportunity to help someone in dire need.

Thank you.
From a very proud mother!
