The Faubourg Marigny Spring Home & Garden Tour

What:

A tour of Creole homes in Faubourg Marigny. Faubourg is a French term for neighborhood, and Faubourg Marigny is the second oldest Faubourg in New Orleans, just down river of the oldest Faubourg, the Vieux Carre (French Quarter). This area of the city is filled with Creole homes of the 1800's, small cafes and places for Jazz. The annual tour of homes is a rare opportunity to tour the inside of the beautiful, historic homes. There are also Kids activities, an art market and music.

Where:

The tour begins in Washington Square Park and the homes are scattered throughout the Faubourg Marigny. Washington Square Park is in the heart of Faubourg Marigny and is located at 700 Elysian Fields,

  • 2036 Royal Street

In 2008 the tour will be Sunday, May 18 from 10:AM to 4PM

  • 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Art Market
  • 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Kids Activity Area
  • 11:00 a.m. – Music starts
  • 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Home & Garden Tour
