The New Orleans Bowl

New Orleans has hosted many bowl games over the years, and the NCAA New Orleans Bowl is the newest. Since 2001, played the conference champion of the Sun Belt and a team from Conference USA have been the participants. It's held every December just before Christmas

The Game

The big game is in the Superdome and tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

More Bowl Activities

Every year there's a R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Luncheon with both schools represented by the bands and the teams' cheerleaders to help honor the players. Fan Fest is usually held on Fulton Street next to Harrah's the evening before the game. You can second line from your hotel to the Fulton Street Mall. The tailgate party and Battle of the Bands usually starts at about 4:30 on game day on the bridge level at the Superdome.

The 2009 Game

In 2009 the Game will be on December 20, 2009 at 7:30pm in the Superdome. This years participants will be the Golden Eagles of the University of Southern Mississippi (7-5) and the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State University (9-3).
