Enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks From the Riverboat Natchez

By Sharon Keating, About.com

The Riverboat Natchez 4th of July Cruise

The big 4th of July celebration in New Orleans takes place along the Mississippi River and includes a first class fireworks display. So, why not enjoy it while cruising on the Steamboat Natchez?

The Natchez has two daytime cruises at 11:30am & 2:30pm. Each cruise boards to patriotic tunes played on our Steam Calliope, as they would have in the 1800’s. The night cruise boards at 6:30 and departs at 7:30. It includes a picnis style buffet dinner featuring Barbeque Ribs, Grilled Chili Lime Boneless Chicken Breast, Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, and Kids Korner for Hotdogs and Hamburgers. There's a cash bar available. Music for the cruise is provided by a local DJ. Dinner seatings are at 6:30pm & 7:45pm.

See the Fireworks

At 9 pm the Natchez anchors in the river during the fireworks show and docks and disembarks at 9:30
