Treasure Hunting In The French Quarter

The "French Quarter Treasures" Treasure Hunt has begun again. To participate, all you have to do is something wonderful--go shopping in the Quarter.

"Treasure Hunter"

Visitors to the French Quarter this summer are contestants in a summer treasure hunt. From now until September 30, pick up your map at any one of many businesses in the Quarter. When you spend a minimum of $10 in the "French Quarter Treasures," you will receive a stamp from that location. At least 5 stamps from 5 different sponsors makes you eligible for the Grand Prize Drawing from the Treasure Chest.

The Treasures

The Treasure Chest is chock full of gifts from French Quarter merchants worth over $8,000.00, including jewelry, clothing, and gift certificates.

Participating Venues

Some retail businesses participating are Aunt Sally's Praline Shop, Mignon Faget, Bevelo Gas and Electric Lights, New Orleans Silversmiths, and Wellington &Company Fine Jewelry. Galatoire's, Muriel's, Palace Cafe, G.W. Fins are a few of the restaurants on the treasure hunt. Other sponsors include the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, The Historic New Orleans Collection,House of Blues, and the Steamboat Natchez.

You could "find" a treasure within a treasure--the exotic and alluring French Quarter of New Orleans.
