Napoleon Avenue to Jefferson Avenue:

Just past Napoleon at 4430 Magazine is Tee-Eva's, a great take-out food joint in a city of great food joints. There are homemade gumbos and jambalaya, homemade pies and a wonderful assortment of snow-balls. Try the Creole cream cheese snowball for a most unusual treat. Jon Antiques at 4605 Magazine offers a large selection of 18th and 19th century English & Continental furniture. The Bead Shop at 4612 is a fun place to find everything you need to make your own jewelry.

Jefferson Avenue to Henry Clay Avenue:

Along this section of Magazine Street you'll find more antique shops and a unique shop for fine writing instruments called Scriptura at 5423. Several good boutiques for women's clothing, including MiMi's, Spring and Azby's are in the 5500 block. A great upscale shop for men and women is Perlis at 6070. In between the boutiques is Blue Frog Chocolate at 5707, with fine domestic and imported chocolates.
