Grand Isle:

Grand Isle is a town located in southern Jefferson Parish, and is famous for its fishing and seafood. We are recommending a much shorter visit, to the restaurant on Covention Center Blvd., near the Fulton Street Mall and Harrah's Casino in New Orleans. When the weather's good, go outside to dine on the Fulton Street Mall and watch the passing parade.

The Dining Rooms:

Self described as having a "fish camp" feel,I can assure you the dining room with its beautiful cypress walls is much more than that. It is casual dining for both lunch and dinner, and serves cajun, creole, southern type food. You will feel comfortable here, rather as though you were dining at an oyster bar. But the Grand Isle has much more than just its delicious cold salty oysters.

The Menu:

The signature dish is Grand Oysters with Tasso, Jalapeno and Monterey Jack; Oysters Rockefeller or Bienville, fried oysters, Shrimp Biscayne, Crawfish Cardinale--and these are just some of the appetizers. If you want a famous New Orleans Po-Boy, try the Duck Debris, Fried Shrimp, or Fried Oyster(yum!).

Main Courses:

Fresh seafood such as Lobster Grand Isle, Seafood Platters, and Freshe Gulf Fish are offered, but the meat lovers might want to try Celia's Pot Roast, BBQ Quail, or the Filet.

The Bar:

The mahogony bar has beer and cocktails, and boasts an international wine list, with selections from Italy, Germany,France, Spain, and Australia.
