The New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, held every Memorial Day weekend combines the great food of New Orleans with fine wines from all over the world and there are events almost everyone will enjoy.
Chances to enjoy the wine and food
The opening night of the experience is Wednesday, when vintners dinners are held at restaurants all over town. On Thursday the big event is the Royal Street Stroll which combines art, wine and food parings at art galleries all along Royal Street. Tickets for this event sell out quickly, so get them in advance.
Wine seminars
For those who want to go beyond just tasting, there are several seminars usually scheduled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These seminars are presented by experts in the field and the programs are varied, so check the schedule to see which ones interest you most.
The ultimate tasting
The Grand Tastings, usually held on Friday and Saturday at the Convention Center offers a chance to see all of the wine presenters and many of the restaurants in one place, and at your leisure.
