Mother's Day weekend is a great time to visit New Orleans. You can spend most of the weekend doing family activites and then take Mom to a great restaurant for a Champagne Jazz Brunch the whole family will enjoy. Most of the major hotels have lavish Jazz brunches. One of my favorites is the Veranda at the Hotel Intercontinental. The food is great and the hotel is on the St. Charles Streetcar line, so it's easy to get there. Also, there's a Kid's Camp with games and fun activities for the little ones. The Hilton Riverside has a good one also. Make reservations, because these brunches sell out quickly.
