New Orleans Riverfront

The Mississippi River is the lifeblood of New Orleans. It's the reason New Orleans exists. The oldest part of New Orleans, the French Quarter, sits on the Mississippi River and the city grew up and down the riverbank as the years went by. Today the riverfront is a lovely place with a linear park, paddle wheel boats, the Aquarium of the Americas,, an IMAX theater, the Riverwalk Mall, and more. A great way to spend a day in New Orleans is to take a self-guided tour of the riverfront.
