What:

Soul Fest is one of the annual festivals at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. Soul Fest is a celebration of African American food, music, crafts and culture and entertainment It is usually in early March.

Food and Music:

As with all New Orleans festivals, there's great food, in this case some of the best Soul Food New Orleans has to offer. And, of course music. You can hear featured artists on both days of the festival.

Beyond the Usual:

Soul Fest goes beyond the usual festival fair because it highlights the achievements and heritage of African Americans, and promotes healthy living via a health fair.

Kids' Events:

There are always special events just for kids at Soul Fest that involve fun, creative activities and chances for learning more about African-American culture and history.

The Music Schedule:

There's a great lineup of music for March 7 and 8, 2009. So make plans to attend.
