Art for Arts' Sake Art Walk

Art on Julia Street:

One of my favorite streets in New Orleans in Julia Street. This is the main drag for the contemporary art galleries. Julia Street is the scene for several fun nights. One of these is the first Saturday in October, that's the date of Art for Arts' Sake. From 6-9pm, Julia and the surrounding streets in the Warehouse/Arts Districts is epicenter of the celebration.

Gallery Hop:

The free citywide gallery hop marks the opening of the city's arts season with cash bars and nearly 50 open galleries along Julia Street, and several art openings at various locations throughout Magazine Street, the French Quarter and the New Orleans Warehouse District. Admission is free.

Don't Miss the Contemporary Arts Center:

From 8-midnight at the Contemporary Arts Center, located at 900 Camp Street, will have a special hip hop-themed after party. This year it will feature exciting performances from olive Dance Theatre (from Philadelphia) and much more. Cuisine and cash bars also available. Cost is $15.00.
