Halloween on Bourbon Street:
Bourbon Street is always wild, from the weekend before, and through Halloween, it's wild even by Bourbon Street standards. Wear your favorite costume and come down to see the sights.
Hermann-Grima House Mourning Tour:
The Hermann-Grima House located at 820 St. Louis Street in the French Quarter is fun to visit any time of the year to see how the Creoles lived in early New Orleans. But from mid-October through mid-November, the historic home will be draped in black and the parlor will be set as it would have been for the funeral of one of its earliest residents. Ghosts in the Oaks:
Ghosts in the Oaks is a fund raiser for New Orleans City Park which was severely damaged in Hurricane Katrina. The event is on October 23th, from 6:00- 9:00 p.m. in the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and includes food and music. For more information, go to the Friends of City Park Website.
The annual event hosted by the Vampire Lestat Fanclub is still in the planning stage. Check the official website for more details.

Boo at the Zoo:
For the kids there's fun at the Audubon Zoo. On October 23, 24, 25 2009 the zoo holds its annual Halloween extravaganza. There's games, a haunted house, the ghost train, and of course trick or treating.
M.O.M's Halloween Ball:
On October 31st the Howlin' Wolf will host the M.O.M.'s Halloween Ball with Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk with Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes plus Derrick Freeman's Smokers World. $25.00 Costume required for entry. Tickets available at the box office with no service charge.(907 S. Peters Street)
Ghostly Galavant:
How about a cemetery tour for Halloween? The Louisiana State Museum Friends of the Cabildo will lead a tour through St. Louis #2 Cemetery on October 24 and October 25th. The tour begins in the French Quarter at the 1850's House (St. Anne side of Jackson Square)
The Voodoo Music Experience:In City Park on October 30 through November 1, there's great music at the Voodoo Music Experience
Blaine Kern's Haunted Fun House and Krewe of Boo:
Blaine Kern, famous for his Mardi Gras parade floats, has founded the Krewe of Boo as a fundraiser for first responders in New Orleans. The Krewe plans a parade on October 24th at 7 pm. Check the parade route. Following the parade, the Halloween Costume Expose takes place at Mardi Gras World/Haunted House. If you are not a member of the Krewe, tables can be purchased and tickets are $100 per person. Check out the website.
The Mortuary
Of course, visiting a haunted mansion is always fun, expecially on Halloween. The Mortuary offers haunted tours of their mansion all year round.
