The Ohm Lounge:
The Ohm Lounge is one of the newer bars in New Orleans, and certainly one of the most unique. Billing itself as a "contemporary Asian-deco lounge," Ohm is located in the boutique hotel the Royal St. Charles. Ohm is a semicircle lounge whose decor is modern, but is influenced by both Japanese and Chinese traditions. It's bar-top is a rock garden, and floor-to-ceiling windows with wrap-around seating offer a great view of the city. This is a hangout for the hip late-night crowd.
Drinks and Music:
Premium sake and sake cocktails, French wines, Japanese and Belgian beer, martinis--the drinks are as cool as the lighting here. On Friday nights, DJs such as Wyldchile and Frenzi spin the music, and on Saturdays from 10PM-1AM, the group Simple Syrup provides live funky music.
Events:
Happy Hour is on weekdays from 5-8PM, but at that time every Wednesday is "Wine Down Wednesday," featuring free wine tastings and complimentary hors d'oeuvres.
