Brass Bands in the French Quarter [/p
The 2007 Brass Band Parade Series will begin on Friday August 17th, 2007 and will feature the Soul Rebel Brass Band. The fun will continue every Friday night through September 21st. The Brass Band will begin the parade at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel(700 Block of Orleans Street) and wonder through the streets of the French Quarter, ending up a the steps of the Louisiana Supreme court Building on Royal Street to pla a free concert.
Join in parade
The parade and concert are free and the band will pick up second liners throughout the 20 block route through the French Quarter. If you don't know how to do the second line, not to worry, just watch. It's easy and it's the dance all of New Orleans does for every joyful occasion. We dance the second line at Jazz Funerals, weddings, engagement parties, divorces, whatever.

Times for the parade and the Concert
The parade, complete with carriages and Kern Sculpture’s special creations, starts at 5: 30 at the 700 block of Orleans Street and strolls through more than 20 blocks of the French Quarter. At 6:15 the Brass Band will play on the steps of the Louisiana Supreme Court Building. Beer, wine and light refreshment will be available to purchase.
