After Hurricane Katrina, the Backbeat Foundation was formed to help New Orleans musicians. It's an organization which provides assistance in finding housing, replacing instruments lost in Katrina, and most importantly, a gig. The biggest project of The Backbeat Foundations is the Jazz Fest Concert Series. It's a chance to hear great New Orleans music and different venues at night during Jazz Fest.
