New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival
A Celebration of 25 Years of Jazz Fest: In 2008, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival will celebrate 25 years of great music, food and culture. To mark the occasion there's a special exhibit from Jazz Fest Archives.
What: Entitled Jazz Fest 1970 & 1971: Beauregard Square, the exhibit features, photographs, posters, art works, memorabilia and artifacts from the first two years of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Showcased artists include: Noel Rockmore, Michael P. Smith, John Messina and others.
Where and When: The exhibit will be at Beauregard Square, Jazz & Heritage Gallery 1205 N. Rampart St. (at Gov. Nicholls), on the edge of the French Quarter. The exhibit runs from April 4, 2008 through June 6, 2008. Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Best part-the admission is FREE.
