1431 Royal St. This hip B& B is located above the popular “R Bar” in the Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans. The rooms are really suites and have names such as “Ghost in the Attic” and “Kiss and Tell.” At the downstairs bar, mingle with artists and musicians who hang out after hours, watching television, shooting pool, or having a drink.

This wonderful family run inn at 1422 N. Rampart has B&B rooms, a honeymoon suite, and an historic townhouse, but not many rooms so call well ahead of your planned stay. Some of the accommodations have fully equipped kitchens, and the inn boasts a tropical courtyard, and a verandah with a porch swing.
Maison DuBois is located at 1419 Dauphine Street, in the lower end of the French Quarter. It has a beautiful courtyard with a pool and hot tub for relaxing after a hard day in the Quarter. The guest rooms and suites are individually decorated.
The name of this B&B is also its address, one block from the Quarter near Bourbon Street. Build in 1860, it has only 3 guest rooms, but they are absolutely lovely, and each has a queen bed, private bath, small refrigerators, microwaves, cable television, and coffee makers.
Near the edge of the Quarter at 719 Esplanade Avenue, you can rent a two-bedroom suite or a studio apartment, all with private baths, kitchenettes, and of course, breakfast. The Esplanade also has a small private courtyard and heated pool shaded by an old magnolia tree. It's an easy walk and interesting walk to the French Quarter.
The Lanaux Mansion
The Lanaux Mansion, or Lanaux House, is a Victorian mansion at 500 Esplanade Avenue with cast iron balconies, hardwood floors and a courtyard garden. The rooms are furnished with antiques and have queen size beds and kitchenettes where breakfast is provided. Each room also has a private bath. The Lanaux House has been the setting for several movies, and is very near the French Quarter.
