2009 Lineup for the French Quarter Festival

The French Quarter Festival is a great free festival that happens in New Orleans French Quarter every April. The 2009 stages will be filled with great performers. Here's a sampling.

Special Events

There are always special events planned for the French Quarter Festival. Here are those scheduled for 2009.

Friday – Opening Parade and second line – 9 a.m. at 100 Bourbon Street, and Open Tours at the Hermann-Grima House and Gallier House museums.

Saturday – World Championship Oyster Eating Contest, Battle of the Bands, Opera at Dusk, the Pirates Alley Art Show, and Open Tours at the Hermann-Grima House and Gallier House museums.

Sunday – Dancing at Dusk, St. Louis Cathedral Annual Spring Concert, and the Pirate’s Alley Art Show.

All three days! – International Music Colloquium, Patio Planters Historic Courtyard Self-Guided Tours.
