Greek Festival in New Orleans

What: A festival dedicated to the Greeks in New Orleans. The festival showcases Greek food music and culture. It's a great family event that takes place every year on Memorial Day weekend.
Where: The Festival is on the grounds of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, a Byzantine Cathedral first establised in 1866 as the first Greek Orthodox church in America. The cathedral is located at 1200 Robert E. Lee Boulevard, on the shore of Bayou St. John.
Attractions: Besides cathedral tours, the festival features Hellenic dancers, a live Greek band, booths offering Greek food. There's also a Mount Olympus climbing wall and an Athenian Playground for the kids. Or, you can rent a canoe for a relaxing ride on Bayou St. John.
Hours and admission charges: The festival will run on Memorial Day weekend. Hours are; Friday from 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 to 11:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 9:00. Admission is $5.00.
