Cat lovers have equal time with dogs at Mardi Gras. If you loved Barkus, you'll be purr-fectly enchanted with the Krewe of Endymeow. On Saturday, January 29th,2005, the festivities begin with the selection of the Royal Court at the bal masque. Their majesties are chosen from among members of the Krewe. There is no elitism here--if your cat was born in an alley or in the lap of luxury, he or she can become King or Queen Endymeow.
WHISKERS OF OZ--THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
The theme was chosen to celebrate the return of the Cat Practice, which sponsors this event, to its original home at 1809 Magazine Street, following a terrible fire in 2002. Costuming is encouraged for all participants, although claws are expected to fly over who has the best get-up. The parade and ball will take place inside the Cat Practice facility--cats never allow anything to rain on their parade!
