By Sharon Keating, About.com

The Louisiana Children's Museum is celebrating the rich diversity brought to us from Africa. The African Heritage Fest is this Saturday, February 7, from 11:00am-3pm.

African Heritage Fest

The festival is designed for children, and is geared to acquaint them with the history, culture and art of Africa. They will learn to make drums and masks, or they can watch an artisan weave baskets. Ivory Coast Spectacle performs at noon, with dancing, singing, and music, including a stilt walker. At 1:00, Mama Saba entertains with folktales.

Africa comes alive at the Museum! Bring the kids for a great afternoon.
