October in New Orleans is beautiful. The weather is perfect! It's cool and dry with bright blue skies overhead. It's the time to get outside and enjoy some of the festivals.

- The Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival is October 17th and 18th.
- New Orleans Film Festival is the 8th -15th.
- New Orleans Saints home games on October 4 3:05 p.m. New York Jets, October 18, noon against the New York Giants,
- October 20th Miley Cyrus at the New Orleans Arena
- Oktoberfest
- There are always special events and ghost tours for Halloween.
- The VooDoo Music Experience is always a fun musical festival.
- On the third Saturday of the month is the Bywater Art Market.
- On the last Saturday of the month the New Orleans Art Market is held.
