2008 Cajun-Zydeco Festival Schedule

The Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival is one of three festivals held on the same weekend in mid-June. The other two are the New Orleans Seafood Festival and the French Market Creole Tomato Festival.

Thursday, June 12:

The Official Kick-Off Party for the Cajun-Zyedco Festival is at the Mid-City Lanes Rock & Bowl, 4133 S. Carrollton Ave., and features Leon Chavis & the Burning Flames. It's set for 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door.

The free music events start on Friday. Here's the schedule.

FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2008:

Barracks Stage:

  • 2:00-3:30 pm Li’l Nathan & the Zydeco Big Timers
  • 3:45-5:15 pm Waylon Thibodeaux
  • 5:30-7:00 pm Keith Frank & the Soileau Zydeco Band

Esplanade Stage:

  • 3:00-4:30 pm Les Freres Michot
  • 5:00-6:30 pm Marc Savoy Band

SATURDAY, JUNE 14:

Barracks Stage:

  • 12:30-1:45 pm Roddie Romero & the Hub City Allstars
  • 2:00-3:30 pm Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys
  • 3:45-5:15 pm BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet
  • 5:30-7:00 pm Sunpie & the Louisiana Sunspots

Esplanade Stage:

  • 12:00-1:30 pm Jonno
  • 2:00-3:30 pm The Creole Zydeco Farmers
  • 4:00-5:30 pm Li’l Malcolm & the House Rockers
  • 5:45-7:00 pm Bruce Daigrepont
