There are certain New Orleans landmarks that you must see on your visit to New Orleans. The French Quarter, the above ground Cemeteries, the streetcars are only a few.
Of course see Bourbon Street and the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. That's what you've seen on TV and the movies. But, if you want to see what the locals are doing for Mardi Gras, take a walk up St. Charles Avenue.
