Orb in St. Roch Cemetery Chapel

Is this an orb?

Sharon Keating

Recently a friend and I took a beautiful day off and went around the city of New Orleans taking photos of the beautiful "Cities of the Dead" for this website. In New Orleans the past is never really past and is always a part of the present. It is not unusual to visit the cemeteries here even if you have no loved one to visit. The cemeteries are beautiful places with above ground tombs telling the history of the city and her people. The architecture found in the Cities of the Dead alone is worth the visit.

See what you think. Are these orbs?

Because we both grew up in New Orleans, my friend and I were not the least bit reluctant to spend the day in the cemeteries. In fact, we were in good spirits, looking forward to a great day. And, in fact, we did have a great day. I took over 100 digital photos, and really didn't look at them carefully until a few days later.

When I put the photos on my computer, I found three, two taken in the chapel atSt. Roch Cemetery , and one at Metairie Cemetery which were very interesting. I don't know much about orbs, but I'm told some believe they are the energy of spirits who have died.
