Beyond the Music and Seminars:

When you're at the Essence Music Festival don't miss the Marketplace. The daytime activities at the New Orleans Convention Center also include food booths showcasing world-renowned New Orleans cuisine, the Festival's book fair, author signings, celebrity meet-and-greets, sponsor activities, the Essence boutique, community exhibits and much more.

New Orleans Artists:

While the food is always a big draw, so are the artists who display and sell their work. The Marketplace is the place to find original African-American art in every media. There's clothing, jewelry, paintings and more. It's a great place to support the artists and bring home something really special to remember your trip.

When and Where

The Marketplace is held in the New Orleans Convention Center and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 5; Friday, July 6; and Saturday, July 7.
