A World Class Zoo:

The Audubon Zoo in New Orleans is one of the top rated zoos in the country with a fine collection of exotic animals in nature habitats. Some of the best are the Louisiana Swamp Exhibit, the Sea Lions, the World of Primates, Jaguar Jungle, the White Tigers, the Rhinos, the Dragon's Lair, and Monkey Hill.

Lush Natrual Habitats:

The Audubon Zoo is located in Audubon Park, a beautiful 340 acre park lined with Live Oak Trees and lagoons that run from St. Charles Avenue to the Mississippi River. The zoo in located at the back of the park on the river and continues the lush surroundings of the park.

Special Attractions:

Besides the animals, there are other special attractions to enjoy at the zoo, including the Zoofari Cafe, the Endangered Species Carousel that is available for birthday parties, the Cool Zoo animal=themed water park, a petting zoo, a rock climbing wall, a Safari Simulator Ride and a Swamp Train that rides around the zoo. There's also the Audubon Marketplace shop for gifts.

Where?:

The Audubon Zoo is located at the rear of Audubon Park in Uptown New Orleans at 6500 Magazine Street. You can take the St. Charles Streetcar through the Garden District heading Uptown. Exit at Audubon Park, then board the complimentary Zoo Shuttle to and from the Zoo. The free Zoo Shuttle runs between the Audubon Park Entrance on St Charles Avenue and the front gates of the Zoo on Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am to 4:30 pm and on Saturdays-Sundays from 10am to 5:30pm. How Much?:

The entrance fee for the Audubon Zoo is $13.00 for adults, $8.00 for kids 2-12 and $10.00 for the over 65 group. There are also package deals for the zoo and other Audubon Institute Attractions like the Insectarium, the Aquarium of the Americas, and the Imax Theater.
