Music abounds in New Orleans in clubs and restaurants all over town. Sometimes it spills into the streets in celebration of Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, St. Joseph's Day, or "just because." These outside musical events are free, but usually spontaneous, making planning tricky. One exception to that rule is MO Tunes, a presentation of the Mayor's Office of Music Development. In October, MO Tunes and the French Market have teamed up to present "Seafood & Soul" each Friday in October at 6 p.m. The concerts at the French Market on Decatur Street in the French Quarter are free and open to the public. They feature local artists (Marva Wright on October 22nd and Walter "Wolfman" Washington on October 29th), fresh seafood and drinks.
