It was announced today that ever popular Jazz Fest entertainer Jimmy Buffet will stand in for injured Pearl Jam front man, Eddie Vedder. Vedder, who is ailing from an arm injury that just won't heal was forced to cancel not only his Jazz Fest appearance but the rest of his solo ukulele tour.
Not to worry, Jimmy is up for the job. He was recently in New Orleans for the NCAA Final Four Big Dance concert series. Buffet is scheduled to appear with his guitar player Mac McAnally who is a country music writer and a member of Buffet's Coral Reefer Band.. You can expect the "Margaritaville" man to play various acoustic guitars and perhaps his ukulele if we are lucky.
According to Jazz Fest icon, Quint Davis, "Over time he has been the biggest single attraction at the festival". "He's played more times for more people than anybody".
