Katrina Kapers at Tipitina's Uptown

This Thursday, August 10th at Tipitina's Uptown several local music icons will perform at a CD release party. The CD, "Katrina Kapers", is a complilation of original songs by locals giving a lighhearted poke at Katrina and life in New Orleans post-Katrina. With songs like "Contraflow" a rap song of the joys of evacuating to "I'm waiting for my trailer", sung to the toon of Fats Domino's "I'm walking to New Orleans", the party should be fun. It's from 7 to 10. Admission is only $5.00 and the CD's are only $10.00, with all proceeds going to Tipitina's Foundation to help local artists. So, meet me at Tip's this Thursday.
