The New Orleans Streetcars after Katrina

Tuesday April 25, 2006
Katrina has changed many things in New Orleans. One of those things is our beloved streetcars. The St. Charles line was totally destroyed, but the streetcars stayed in the barn Uptown and were high and dry. The Canal Street line sustained less damage, but that streetcar barn flooded badly. All New Orleans public transportation is free until June 30, 2006. FAQ's about the New Orleans Streetcars. St. Charles Streetcar
