Our kids are happy again

Mardi Gras is in our blood, No, it's more than that, it's in our DNA. It like breathing, you just do it naturally and you won't last long after you stop it. So, after all our kids have been through, losing homes, toys, clothes, pets and schools, and sometimes people in their lives. (My grandson's pediatrician died in the aftermath of Katrina.) They really needed Mardi Gras 2006.
Since the parades started, I've seen some real smiles, not just on their faces, but in their eyes. Just watching that brought tears of joy to my eyes. So I say to anyone who thinks it was a mistake to have Mardi Gras this year, we owe it to our children. Read more about Mardi Gras 2006.
