An Icon Imperiled

The Washington Post has published an article written by Steve Hendrix, entitled "An Icon Imperiled" that is a must read for lovers of New Orleans. Mr. Hendrix has visited the city a number of times, and has put his finger on the pulse to which New Orleans throbs--not just Mardi Gras and Jazzfest, but the tarot card readers and the jambalaya, the music and the daily madness, and the general acceptance of all people of all persuasions.
