In New Orleans we celebrate almost anything with a festival, music and of course food. On November 22nd, start your Thanksgiving Week off right by celebrating one of our favorite foods, the Po-Boy, at the Po-Boy Preservation Festival.

If you're planning to come to New Orleans over the Thanksgiving Holidays, there's lots to do. The big event is the Bayou Classic Football game. But there are festivals, and great horse racing at the Fairgrounds also. And, just in time for the opening of the newest Disney movie, the Princess and the Frog, set here in New Orleans, there's a major exhibit of Disney Princess art at the New Orleans Museum of Art.

The Congo Square Rhythms Festival is a free cultrual event held every November in Armstrong Park. It includes local musicians in every genre, including New Orleans Funk, Cajun/Zydeco, Jazz and R&B. There's always dancers as well, including traditional African Dancers, and the Mardi Gras Indians. This year it's on Novembr 15th.

This Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, Novmeber 8th the place to be is the Audubon Zoo. It's time for Swamp Fest. There's lots of music, food and crafts and a fun time for all. As an extra bonus, the weatherman says the weather will be beautiful.
